Medical Use

Nexviazyme is a specialized enzyme that breaks down glycogen in lysosomes, used to treat individuals aged 12 months and older with late-onset Pompe disease (LOPD).

Recommended Dosage:

Before administering Nexviazyme, consider pretreatment with antipyretics, antihistamines, or corticosteroids. The medication must be reconstituted and diluted prior to use.

Nexviazyme is given via intravenous infusion. The dosage depends on the patient’s weight:

  • -For those weighing 30 kg or more: 20 mg/kg of actual body weight every two weeks.
  • -For those weighing less than 30 kg: 40 mg/kg of actual body weight every two weeks.

The initial infusion rate is set at 1 mg/kg per hour. If no infusion-associated reactions (IARs) occur, the rate can be gradually increased every 30 minutes.
